Visiting the Capitol. The Capitol is located in downtown Tallahassee at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Monroe Street. The Capitol is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is closed on weekends and holidays.

The Historic Capitol now serves as the Florida Historic Capitol Museum. Its restored space includes the Governor's Suite, Supreme Court, House of Representatives and Senate chambers, rotunda and halls. Its adapted space contains a museum exhibiting the state's political history.

The City of Tallahassee manages two parking garages (Kleman Plaza and Eastside Parking Garage) and one surface lot (near Duval and Gaines). The Department of Management Services (DMS) manages two lots (Lot E and Lot 4).
Capitol Facts - Florida
Despite the Capitol being referred to as a 22-story building, there are three underground floors. The observation deck rises 307 feet from the entrance on the Plaza Level. The 22nd floor is also 512 feet above sea level. The working life of the New Capitol is estimated at 100 years.

The café is open to the general public Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 850-329-2954 for more information. There are vending machines strategically situated throughout the Capitol. In addition, there are many restaurants conveniently located in the downtown area.
