For example, when using the Guide and attempting to record a show, it will go through the steps and appear that it is going to record, but then the Guide will have a red no entry (a red circle with a slash through it) symbol next to the show. Should they be replaced before they fail or did they recently purform a firmware update to cause this? no just age does it (bad bearings on the hard drive or a cooling fan). swap them at your local store (they do want the old power supply cord/brick). keep the old remote.

Aug 13, 2021 · I am having the same problems as the posts above and have been since having an X1 box for a year. Recordings will pixilate, freeze at times, and jump in the recording. This does not happen to live tv, on demand, or to recording watched on the app.

Dec 27, 2021 · Watching a show on the DVR, it cut off the last 30-ish seconds. But when it stopped, the little timer bar on the bottom still said 0:26. I opened the show on the streaming app and it played out to the end. So the recording itself wasn’t cut off, just the DVR playback stopped early. I looked at a few other shows and it was the same for them.

Nov 10, 2023 · Unfortunately when I found the setting on our DVR it was already set to on and had apparently been on for a long time. So for some reason it's not working on our DVR as recent recordings are being cut off just short of the end.
