May 23, 2024 · Team Canada will play for bronze at the 2024 IIHF Men’s World Championship in Prague, Czechia. Canada fell 3-2 in a shootout to Switzerland in semifinal play on Saturday, pushing the defending champions into the bronze medal game.

Jan 15, 2025 · Canada is the most successful country in men’s Olympic ice hockey with 16 medals, including nine gold. At the two recent Olympic Games without NHL players, Canada still managed to snag a bronze medal at PyeongChang 2018, but placed sixth at Beijing 2022. The seven gold medals matched the number won at Barcelona 1992 , which was also at the time Canada’s second most ever at one Olympic Summer Games.
