3 days ago · According to the Urban Indian Health Institute, the first recorded case of a missing and murdered Indigenous woman or girl was in 1943. Two-thirds of all the cases they gathered for a 2025 study were from 2010-2018, which they say suggests the number of cases is much higher than the institute was able to find and identify.
