The Central Dauphin School District is governed by a board of nine school directors who are citizens of the school district and who are elected for four-year terms on a staggered basis.

Central Dauphin High School, established in 1955, is a four-year comprehensive public high school with an enrollment of 2,007 students. Course Levels Central Dauphin School District utilizes a weighted grading system determined by a specific course level.

The announcement that “the opening of the Central Dauphin School District” will be delayed by two (2) hours, indicates that the school staff and all pupils (both transported and walkers) are to arrive at school two (2) hours later than the usual start time.

The Central Dauphin School District will be taking advantage of our Flexible Instructional Day program as outlined by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for inclement weather days. Please note that the district can only use up to five FID days for the 2023-2024 school year.
