Jun 16, 2024 · Problems emulating PC-98 version of Policenauts Hi, I've been downloading several versions of Policenauts for PC-98 to be sure I had no issues with corrupt files. Long story short, the download that offers more options is the one from the Neo Kobe archive.

About 25 years ago, I decided to turn a portion of my personal website into a Policenauts fansite. I'd found out about the game some years before from an article in the January 1995 issue of Computer & Video Games, which covered the 3DO version, (misleadingly) described as a sequel to Snatcher, and implied that an English translation was on the way.

Policenauts has never been officially released in English, but a fan translation exists for PS1 and Saturn. There is some debate over which version is better, I haven't played the game yet so I can't say which is the best version. You can either use an emulator or play it on real hardware with a modded PS1 or Saturn with an unlocker cart.

Feb 18, 2024 · Thanks for your work! I just got my Saroo last week and I’m absolutely floored with how awesome it is! Every game I’ve tried has worked perfectly except the Policenauts English translation. I’m really excited for all of these soft-mod ODEs like the Saroo, FlippyDirve and MX4SIO. Hopefully we can get a good no-solder mod for PS1 soon!

Absolutely for Policenauts! Find the link to the patch by another comment in this post. It’s probably my favorite Saturn game. In fact, I just did another play-through last week. For Snatcher, you’re going to have to go the Sega CD route, which can easily be emulated in any console with a Genesis-and-more type emulator.
