Gila Crossing Community School is a FACE PreK to 8th Grade school located on the northwest corner of the Gila River Indian Reservation, about four miles from the town of Laveen, Arizona. The current enrollment expected in these grades is about 550 students comparing with just 53 students in 1993-94 school year.

They hear speakers on topics related to family well-being, development-centered parenting, parent-child interaction, make books and toys for their children that often include the local culture and language, participate in parent-child activities, get to know the school-based FACE staff, and learn to feel good about being a part of the school.

Gila Crossing Community School is proud to have five visionary, dedicated and committed Board members. The School Board of Trustees is duly elected by the community as per their constitution and by-laws.

Jan 5, 2025 · Gila Crossing Families, Welcome back! School resumes tomorrow, Monday, January 6th, 2025 for all students. It is a half day release with student dismissal at 12:30pm. The Boys and Girls club will not be open for students. Please plan accordingly for buses or student pick-up. Thank you.
