Your monitor also comes with a “Self Test” function - you can perform this by turning off your computer and monitor, unplugging the DP cable from your monitor (as well as any peripherals) and then turn your monitor on and a Self Test prompt should appear.

Apr 16, 2021 · Never had this monitor but Ive heard that HDR works on 144hz and lower refresh rates on this monitor, or something similar if Im not mistaken. Also for using 10bit color (which is required for HDR) you need to lower the refresh rate to 144hz anyway, since 240hz is only 8bit.

It's acers 170hz 'visioncare' display but I've also heared bad things about acers QC. Has an sRGB setting and acer claims that they've been calibrated to have a dE of <1. On the downside it's an 8 but panel with FRC whereas the alienware is native 10bit. I don't know how much of a difference that makes in colour output though.

Recently I tried to increase the brightness on this monitor and I notice that the more I increase the brightness the more the screen flickers. I tried googling for solutions but I couldn’t find any. I still have warranty on this monitor.

May 24, 2022 · I reached out to Dell about this and they said it can be updated via AWCC (Alienware Command Center) within the FX section, via the "settings" tab, when the monitor is plugged into a USB port on the computer using the cable. My current 27" monitor does show in AWCC, but there are no options to check for an update or anything, anywhere there.

I called Dell Tech Support, and come to find out, Alienware Monitors are not compatible with PS5s therefore the company is looking into manufacturing updated software for PS5 output.
