I've always wanted to keep MOTE special and rare—something not easy to come by, made by hand, named after a beautiful surf movie that means so much to so many people. In my eyes, the movie itself is almost public property, owned by every surfer and every person who lives or plays in and around the ocean.
Fiji - Simon Jones Designs
Characterised by its signature triple stringer blank and 4 deep channels, the Fiji can be bulked up or whittled down to suit any surfer, wave, or condition. The Fiji's origin story originates when Torren was planning a trip to, yep, you guessed it… Fiji! In the days leading up to his departure date, the swell map kept growing.

Simon worked with the legendary Michael Peterson (MP) to continue his legacy of boards, passing on his bottom shapes, outlines and fin templates so they could be enjoyed by surfers in the modern day. The Au Go-Go model is the board that took the win in the annual Stab 2021 Electric Acid Test.

Simon Jones: On shaping a twinny for Shippies - Swellnet
Oct 1, 2021 · Triple-stringer, flat-rockered 6'8" under his arm, two fins off the tail - not your usual Shippies stick. Yet it worked for the big fella. And it impressed me enough to dial up Simon Jones, Torren's shaper, and ask what went into that board and why. As is often the case, that was merely the starting point for the conversation.
