Apr 15, 2022 · Since these are 34mm / 35mm watches, they might be small on my wrist. Also i had red on various watch forums that any watch below 36mm is for women. Is this really true? I had checked other vintage Omega watches from this era, which are 36mm - 38mm and fits my budget, but they are manual watches, and I prefer automatic watches.

That being said, both gold capped watches and stainless steel watches with gold accents can be very attractive and age gracefully. Here are two examples from my collection. An 18ct exploding dial Longines but with the numbers in two-tone gold as opposed to solid black. Even the exploding dial Patek which Doyle had a few years ago (with the broken lug) wasn't as nice as this.

Upon seeing it, I was like, "What wife? That's for me!" as I have gotten used to wearing smaller watches anyway. Today, it arrived.

Sep 3, 2023 · Thank you @Seiji, to me it is, frankly it is one of the most beautiful watches I own or have held.And the irony is, I narrowly missed it at auction many years ago- it came from a public pawn facility and was sold in the south of France for what would today be considered a bargain.

Aug 15, 2018 · That is a beautiful timepiece. To answer your question, their watches are ultra-formal and hyper-classical and that may turn off a lot of people. These are casual times we’re living in. I would take a complicated Breguet any day over a sport watch encrusted with diamonds. One of my favorites, a 7787 with enamel dial (not my watch).
