Overnight, Channel 9 learned Daniel Wheeler was arrested for the shooting death of 18-year-old Jordyn Campbell. Court documents say on the afternoon of Dec. 29, Wheeler opened fire into a car in the Little Rock Apartments parking lot in west Charlotte.

MEDIC: Separate overnight shootings in west Charlotte leave 2 seriously injured
CHARLOTTE — Two people were seriously injured after separate shootings in west Charlotte overnight Tuesday. According to MEDIC, one happened near the 1600 block of Remount Road and the other happened near the the 1300 block of West Morehead. MEDIC confirmed that each shooting left one person with life-threatening injuries.
