The Cleveland Browns have had 38 different starting quarterbacks since they returned to the NFL. They hoped their lifelong pursuit of a franchise signal-caller would end with Deshaun Watson, but it’s become painfully evident that might not be the case.

For the second straight week, the Cleveland Browns had multiple opportunities in the fourth quarter to rally for a win, but fell short.

The Browns traded away three first-round picks, a third-round pick and two fourth-round picks after letting go of Mayfield to acquire Watson from the Houston Texans, then awarded Watson a record-breaking five-year, $230 million contract that stunned observers because it was fully guarnateed.
