The Gathering card game, is partnering with Legendary Studios to create live-action movies and TV shows adapting its fantasy world a la the Marvel Cinematic Universe.As reported by Deadline, plans are underway to develop a live-action movie and TV show based on Magic: The Gathering in addition to an animated series that's already in production with Netflix.

Not content with the animated series already in the works, Hasbro is working with Legendary to bring the beloved card game to the big screen.

Legendary Entertainment has partnered with Hasbro Entertainment to develop a Magic: The Gathering movie and TV universe. This comes after more than three decades since Wizards of the Coast debuted the popular trading card game created by Richard Garfield.
