Analyst reports that a more affordable version of the Apple Vision Pro is delayed beyond 2027, and Apple's focus in 2025 will be on an updated headset with an M5 chip.

That’s according to respected industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who posted on X that there will be a new, M5-powered Vision Pro launching in 2025. However, it's going to be the only head-mounted device Apple will release in the near future – Kuo says that the cheaper model has been "delayed beyond 2027".

Apple is also said to be exploring a push into smart glasses with an internal study of products currently on the market.

The first beta of visionOS 2.2, Apple added wide and ultra-wide modes to Mac Virtual Display. This is the most important Vision Pro feature.
