New Zealand batter Kane Williamson has overtaken Virat Kohli to become the second-fastest men's cricketer to score 7,000 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs). He achieved the milestone in his 159th ODI innings during the tri-nation series match against South Africa, where he remained unbeaten on 133 runs.

New Zealand’s Kane Williamson broke a notable record of Virat Kohli as he slammed a 72-ball century during is team’s six-wicket win over South Africa in the tri-series that also involves hosts Pakistan.

Kane Williamson scored a brilliant 133* off just 113 balls against South Africa to help the Kiwis chase a 305-run target and he also overtook Virat Kohli to achieve a historic ODI record.

Kane Williamson broke multiple records with an excellent ODI century against South Africa in a tri-series game in Pakistan. Riding on his century the Kiwis defeated the Proteas by six wickets and this will provide a massive boost to the New Zealand side ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.
