Linkedin co-founder Reid Hoffman has launched a startup with the intention of using AI to fuel drug discovery. He is partnering with author, physician and scientist, Siddhartha Mukherjee, who famously penned The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer.

LinkedIn founder and venture capitalist Reid Hoffman has just launched drug discovery startup Manas AI, alongside Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, an oncologist.

In January, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta’s nine-year-old fact-checking system, which relied in part on third-party organizations, would come to an end. The tech company is instead set to adopt a “community notes” model reminiscent of what is used by Elon Musk ’s X, which relies on users instead of experts to flag misinformation.

Reid Hoffman said it's important for platforms to have a "learning dialogue" but shouldn't mean more posts like "anti-vax misinformation."
