Disneyland Abu Dhabi is likely to open by 2030 Disney Disney's new theme park in Abu Dhabi could open as soon as 2030, beating arch-rival Universal's upcoming outpost in the United Kingdom by a year.
The park is set to be built on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island, which was developed by Miral and is already the location of multiple theme parks, including Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World and SeaWorld.
Miral, based in Abu Dhabi, will build and develop the theme park resort. Disney Imagineers will spearhead creative design and operational oversight.
The resort in Abu Dhabi will be Disney’s seventh location globally to feature theme parks, alongside properties in California, Florida, Tokyo, Paris, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
