Angels right-hander Ryan Johnson is expected to become just the 24th player since the advent of the MLB draft to play in the big leagues without a minor league appearance, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.

In a bit of a surprise move, the Los Angeles Angels are breaking camp with right-handed pitcher Ryan Johnson. There are two major items of note here on Johnson. First off, he hasn't played a single game in the minors.
