Impossible 8 actress Katy O’Brian is joining Glen Powell in Paramount’s redux of The Running Man helmed by Edgar Wright. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King that the author first published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman.

Glen Powell's Running Man remake received a 2025 release date while Smurfs was delayed and the Naked Gun reboot also received a date.

The feature is based on the 1982 Stephen King novel about a totalitarian regime that uses violent game shows to placate the disenfranchised masses.
