Los Angeles was the site of two Habitat for Humanity Carter Work Project home builds -- in 1995 in the Watts/ Willowbrook neighborhood and again in 2007 in South Central Los Angeles and San Pedro.

One day after former President Jimmy Carter's death, dozens visited the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda to sign a book of condolences for his family.

The Nixon Presidential Library & Museum will collect condolences from visitors to share with the Carter family following the passing of former President Jimmy Carter on Sunday, Dec. 29, at age 100.
