A Cal Fire captain was fatally stabbed at her home in Ramona, California, Monday in what San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials are investigating as a suspected homicide.

Deputies from the San Diego Sheriff's Office responded to a radio call about an assault with a deadly weapon in the 20200 block of Rancho Villa Road in Ramona around 9 p.m., the sheriff's office said in a press release.

Investigators are seeking 53-year-old Yolanda Marodi, also known as Yolanda Olejniczak, in connection with the killing of Cal Fire Capt. Rebecca Marodi, 49.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office says they have identified Yolanda Marodi, also known as Yolanda Olenjniczak, as a suspect. Olenjniczak is described as a 53-year-old woman with brown hair, 5'2" and about 166 lbs.
