A brush fire burning broke out amid remote terrain in the Acton area Wednesday, quickly scorching 50 acres and threatening structures. The blaze, the fifth large brush fire to break out in Los Angeles County over the last 24 hours,

Firefighters responded to the Lidia fire around 1 p.m. to the 5700 block of Soledad Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. By 4:11 p.m., the fire had grown to 80 acres. Officials earlier estimated the fire was burning between five and seven acres around 2 p.m.

Evacuation orders have been issued in Acton, where firefighters are responding to a brush fire that broke out in the Los Angeles County town.
