Cleveland-Cliffs said it is temporarily idling its Minorca mine in Virginia, Minn., as well as part of Hibbing Taconite, two of the six taconite mines on Minnesota’s Iron Range.

Cleveland-Cliffs has confirmed its plans to idle two of its plants on Minnesota's Iron Range, resulting in 630 workers being laid off.
