The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been racking up accolades for its 2025 edition. Motor Trend‘s review hailed its engineering and performance as “essentially off the charts,” while Top Gear argued that “the G-Class has real strength in depth.
Mercedes reportedly working on "baby G-Wagen" variant
No further information was given regarding powertrains, looks, or even a release date. There have been reports going around that the baby G-Wagen will be powered exclusively by an electric powertrain, but Mercedes has yet to confirm that. If that does come to pass, it could use a platform that is somehow related to the current electric G-Wagen.

Mercedes has remained tight-lipped about the technical specifications, but if the Baby G follows the EQG’s lead, it could feature a dedicated electric off-road platform, multiple motors for advanced all-wheel-drive capability, and a battery designed to handle extreme conditions.
