An investigation is underway after police said a person was hit and killed by a Gwinnett County police vehicle.

A man was struck and killed by a Gwinnett County police vehicle as he crossed an unlit road outside of a crosswalk, according to officials.

A SWAT team descended on a home off of Highway 124 in Gwinnett County after an incident overnight. The police activity happened close to the Walmart in the unincorporated community of Centerville.
