Caden Powell scored 18 points as Rice beat East Carolina 73-60 on Wednesday night to snap a seven-game losing streak.

The 6-foot-8 forward flushed one-handed dunks over Rice defenders, dazzled with a ferocious putback slam in the first half, and ran the floor for a fastbreak flush late in the second half.
