An innovative system that could solve the Town of Greater Napanee’s transit woes was a subject of much discussion at the regular meeting of Council on Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2025.

The Gananoque Islanders won Games 3 and 4 over the weekend in their EOSHL Quarterfinal series with the Deseronto Bulldogs winning the series 3-1 and advancing to the Semifinals.

Brock Higgs and Warren Marcotte each scored twice in the Islanders’ furious third-period push, while Ryan Pawlikowski buried an empty-net goal with 2:43 remaining to put the game out of reach.

The Deseronto Bulldogs took game one of a best of 5 Eastern Ontario Senior League playoff at home last night, beating the Gananoque Islanders 6 to 3. Dorian Overland scored 2 for the ‘Dogs.
