Several members of the Oath Keepers, a far-right extremist group, cannot enter Washington, DC, or the grounds of the US Capitol without first receiving court permission, a federal judge said Friday, days after President Donald Trump commuted their prison sentences.

By Susan Heavey and Andrew Goudsward WASHINGTON (Reuters) -A federal judge on Friday barred Stewart Rhodes, the former leader of the far-right Oath Keepers group, and others in its top ranks from entering Washington - and specifically the U.

District Judge Amit Mehta issued the order two days after Rhodes visited Capitol Hill, where the Texas resident met with at least one lawmaker, chatted with others and defended his actions the day of the riot.

During a segment on CNN, U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, called Jan. 6 riot pardons shameful and accused GOP of attempting to rewrite Capitol riot history.

Senator Lindsey Graham, a longtime ally of Donald Trump, criticized on Sunday the president's pardon of about 1,500 of his supporters who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, saying it could lead to more violence.

The republican senator also laid into former President Joe Biden for pardoning "all of his family going out the door."
