Ukrainian officials say a Russian missile attack in the southern Ukraine city of Zaporizhzhia killed at least 13 civilians and injured about 30 others.

A Russian guided bomb attack on Wednesday killed at least 13 people and injured 29 others in Ukraine's southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, authorities said, adding that the number of victims could rise further.

"During the Kursk operation, the enemy has already lost 38,000 of their soldiers in this direction alone, with nearly 15,000 of these losses being irreversible," Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address.

The Russian military has not commented. President Vladimir Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. In a video message from outside the bombed site, Fedorov said the Russian shelling began at about 16:00 local time (14:00 GMT) on Wednesday.

Russia launched 64 Shahed-type attack drones and various dummy drones against Ukraine overnight, the Air Force reported. Air defenses shot down 41 drones over nine different oblasts, while 22 dummy drones were lost in the airspace,
