The $700 PS5 Pro is not sold out in either the US or UK, meaning it won’t exactly be hard to come by for the holiday. Does that matter?

Arguably the biggest criticism of the PS5 Pro is its price. The $699.99 retail price is a pretty hard ask for PlayStation players. However, PlayStation designer Toshi Aoki reaffirms that the console upgrade is an “exceptional value” for its “most engaged” player base.

Analysts have predicted the high price point shouldn't affect PS5 Pro sales too much and ultimately will be comparable to PS4 Pro. Piers Harding-Rolls, research director of games at Ampere Analysis, believes Sony will sell roughly 1.3 million PS5 Pro systems during the launch window.

To be fair to Warren, he never actually said it was bad the PS5 Pro hasn’t sold out. We do agree with Piscatella’s overarching point, though: Sony’s goal, as a manufacturer, is to ships enough PS5 Pro consoles to ensure anyone who wants to buy one can do so easily.
