At least one Israeli airstrike hit an apartment building in a beach town south of Beirut on Tuesday, Lebanese state media said, as other deadly strikes hit scattered locations across the country and armed group Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel.

Israeli airstrikes were the “most violent” to hit Beirut’s southern suburbs, Lebanon’s state news agency said, as the Israeli military said Hezbollah fired 135 projectiles into Israel in a single day.

Israel launched dozens of airstrikes across northeastern Lebanon on Friday, killing at least 52 people, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. Palestinians also recovered the bodies of more than two dozen people killed in an Israeli air assault in central Gaza that started on Thursday, according to local hospital officials.
