Gusty winds expected in higher elevations on Monday could cause blowing snow and white-out conditions for drivers on mountain passes, forecasters said.

Those in the Denver area shouldn't expect much snow on Tuesday. According to Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Liz McGiffin, snow shouldn't accumulate in the Mile High City, but areas to the west could see several inches of snow from the storm.

Scattered snow showers will return to Colorado’s mountains on Monday and the storm is forecast to move into the Denver area on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. This wave of snow will be short and not much is expected to stick, NWS forecasters said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook.
