Incidents of serious disorder on Bonfire Night have fallen across Scotland, according to police figures. Police Scotland said they responded to 18 incidents on Tuesday evening as part of Operation Moonbeam, compared with 26 during the same period in 2023.

Large groups of youths have been throwing fireworks, bricks and bottles at police in Edinburgh, during a night of disorder across the city.
