The NBA just experienced one of the most active trade deadlines in league history. Luka Doncic, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Davis, De’Aaron Fox, Zach LaVine and a host of others were traded — in some cases, for each other. But the Portland Trail Blazers sat out the frenzy, which came to a halt at noon Thursday.

The NBA trade deadline recently passed with much anticipation surrounding Portland Trail Blazers. As a team in the midst of a rebuilding season, expectations were high that the Blazers would make some significant moves.

Simply put, the Portland Trail Blazers allowed Thursday’s NBA trade deadline to come and go without making a deal because general manager Joe Cronin did not identify any trade scenarios he believed would help the team’s long-term plans.
