Delaware athletic director takes over the organization at a critical juncture, amid college sports turmoil and with the Los Angeles Olympics looming.

The move comes after a disappointing performance by the U.S. team at the Paris Olympics, with an eye towards Los Angeles 2028.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- USA Swimming named University of Delaware athletic director Chrissi Rawak as its new CEO and president on Wednesday. Rawak fills a role previously held by Tim Hinchey, who left the governing body of one of the biggest Olympic sports shortly after last year's Paris Games.

USA Swimming has hired Chrissi Rawak as President & CEO, bringing in a new head of the organization as it embarks on a critical quad culminating at the L.A. Olympics in three years.
