Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube revealed that forward Matthew Knies is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Berube also stated that he doesn’t know when he will be available to return to the lineup.

Matthew Knies was injured in the second period of Toronto's game Wednesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Knies struggled to get up from the ice after colliding with Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko and did not return to the game. Knies was ruled out with what the Maple Leafs called an upper-body injury.

The Toronto Maple Leafs were down a forward for the third period against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Knies exited the game late in the second period. He collided with Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko attempting to throw a hit.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing incredible hockey in the 2024-25 season. The Maple Leafs had struggled a bit, but have since rattled off three straight wins. Unfortunately, it appears the team is on track to lose Wednesday night to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
