Ex-Days Gone director supports Bend Studio after the cancellation of its live-service project, stating that devs sometimes have no choice.

Sony canceled two major live service games that Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games were developing. The cancellation is speculated to be part of Sony’s decision to scale down live-service titles since the PS5 was released.

The two US-based Sony subsidiaries working on the now-cancelled games are not shutting down, though it's unclear if anyone will be laid off.
