Gunmen have attacked a convoy of vehicles escorted by the army, killing at least 25 civilians who were mostly gold miners in Mali.

Residents along a 350km stretch of Western Australia’s coastline are being warned to prepare for a tropical cyclone, with heavy rain, wind and large waves.
