Mumbai Police have arrested Vijay Das, the man accused of attacking Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The suspect, apprehended in Thane's Hiranandani area, confessed to entering Saif’s house with the intention of theft.

The Mumbai Police confirmed that the accused was using multiple names including Vijay Das, Bijoy Das, and Mohammed Iliyas.

According to Mumbai police, Saif Ali Khan's attacker is a Bangladeshi national who changed his name after entering India.

It has been clarified that a member of Saif Ali Khan’s domestic staff, not his son Ibrahim, took him to Lilavati Hospital after the attack. Ibrahim, who lives in a separate building, was not present during the incident or the hospital trip.
