The Las Vegas Raiders fired head coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported

HENDERSON, Nev. — The Las Vegas Raiders fired coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday, the team announced. He lasted just one full season on the job after getting promoted last offseason from interim coach.

The Las Vegas Raiders are rebooting once again, as they fired Antonio Pierce after his first season as the team's full-time head coach.

After serving just one season as the team’s full-time head coach, Antonio Pierce was fired Tuesday by the Las Vegas Raiders.

If Pierce is going to keep his job for a second full season, his first order of business will be building a better offensive staff.

Pierce went on to speak of the future of the Raiders in such a way that suggested he would continue to be head coach. Making plans for the team’s future and speaking of his and GM Tom Telesco’s decisions this offseason. It’s no guarantee that he will remain head coach, but he sure sounds like he expects to keep his job.

Antonio Pierce remains the Las Vegas Raiders' coach. For now, anyway. Pierce spoke at a news conference wrapping up his team's 4-13 season on Monday and said he hasn't “been told anything different” about his job status.
