In the early hours this coming Sunday, Blue Origin's long-awaited New Glenn rocket will launch for the very first time. This is a key moment for the aerospace firm founded and funded by Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos.

After rising along a due east trajectory, the white-and-blue rocket's first-stage booster will target landing aboard Blue Origin's drone ship Jacklyn.

Update: This story has been updated to reflect a move in the launch date. Currently listed as launching no earlier than 1 a.m. Friday per the Space Coast Office of Tourism, Blue Origin's brand new orbital rocket promises to put on quite a performance when it launches.
