Dog owners have been issued a terrifying warning after multiple sharks were sighted at a popular swimming spot in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Residents who pay rent would have access to the same free beach parking permits as property owners under a bid to level the playing field for tenants.

A renewed push is underway to scrap “unfair” parking rules for renters in an affluent area in Sydney’s north – which is currently costing them $250 a year just to park their vehicle near the beach.

Renters would get the same rights to beach parking permits in council areas that run two-tiered schemes favouring homeowners, under reforms proposed by the NSW Government.
