Bitterly cold weather and a water main leak led to some pretty remarkable images in Carrollton. About a half-block of Luna Road was coated in about a foot of ice, while trees, power and utility lines and cars were encased in ice.

A water leak in the City of Carrollton created a scene from a winter wonderland Wednesday overnight. The water leak happened late Wednesday night along Luna Road, according city officials. The freezing temperatures caused the water to turn into ice, almost on contact .

Carrollton city crews have opened southbound lanes on Luna Road after a water leak on Feb. 19 sent gallons of water into the streets, causing icy conditions.

City officials said the leak occurred Wednesday night along Luna Road, closing roads and creating an unlikely "winter wonderland."
