LISBON (WGME) -- Police are investigating a recent hazing incident at Lisbon High School. Police have not released specific details about what the hazing incident entailed or if anyone is facing charges. Police say they are work closely with school officials as the investigation continues.

In the midst of a hazing investigation, Lisbon High School (Maine) has suspended its football operations at the direction of the Lisbon School Department, multiple local media outlets in Maine are reporting.

Richard Green, Superintendent of Lisbon Schools, said the only thing he could confirm at this time is the Lisbon High School administration is fully cooperating with the Lisbon Police Department’s investigation.
