Kanye West has opened up about his autism diagnosis, saying his wife Bianca Censori encouraged him to seek a second opinion after feeling doubts over his initial bipolar disorder diagnosis.

Kanye West is sharing some news about his health. In a conversation on “The Download” podcast with Justin Laboy, West, who changed his name to Ye, said he was previously misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder.

West said he was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder in the past and actually has autism—which is estimated to affect about 1 in 45 adults in the United States.
