The Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), established in 1996-97, is located at Bhubaneswar and is spread over 40 acres of landscaped area within the corporation limit of Bhubaneswar.

ITER was initially slated to start basic operations this year. That goal has now been pushed to 2034 . And a cost estimate that began around $6 billion has ballooned to as high as $65 billion ...
