For the first time in 49 years, the Yankees have done away with their anti-facial hair policy. New York players will be allowed to sport 'well-groomed beards.'

The New York Yankees announced Friday that a long-standing policy that prohibited players from having facial hair is no more. General partner Hal Steinbrenner announced the change allowing players and coaches to “have well-groomed beards moving forward.”
