Daimler Truck North America subsidiary Freightliner announced Oct. 5 it will offer the new Cummins X15N natural gas engine in its heavy-duty Freightliner Cascadia trucks.

Daimler Truck North America and Cummins announced the availability of the Cummins X15N 15-liter natural gas engine in the Fifth Generation Freightliner Cascadia heavy-duty Class 8 truck.

The engine is capable of up to 500 horsepower and 1700 pounds-feet of torque, and is optimized for the Freightliner 114SD chassis for vocational applications like concrete mixers and dump trucks.
