Duke Energy has set up a staging site at the Craven County Fairgrounds on U.S. 70. Several dozen line trucks are already there and more are expected later this morning. The crews will be in place so they can quickly respond to downed power lines and poles that may happen during this snow and ice storm.

Duke Energy crews are in New Bern, ready to respond to any power outages from the winter weather. A total of 150 trucks and 300 people are waiting to help restore power if need be. There are more crews in Jacksonville.
