Disney/Randy Holmes Colman Domingo earned an Oscar nomination for his performance in the A24 film Sing Sing. It’s his second straight nod in the Best Actor category after getting nominated for his role in Rustin last year.

Discussing his back-to-back noms, Colman had a megawatt smile. “It’s amazing, the second time around,” he began. “I feel so blessed… I’ve been having a peaceful, beautiful day.” Interviewer Nischelle pressed on about his repeated experience, asking, “Is it a different peace?” to which Colman wholeheartedly agreed.

Colman Domingo has joined an exclusive Oscars club. Several other actors have been nominated for Best Actor two years in a row over the nearly 100 years that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been handing out the Oscars.
